Bringing the undervalued art to the capital of culture

Since its creation in 1996, the concept of Capital of Culture of the year has become a big success as it helps the organising city to develop its cultural infrastructure, boost its image regionally and attract more visitors.



Planet Art eXchange aim is to capitalise on this yearly event to bring to the capitals of cultures a sample of the contemporary art from another part of the world

Planet Art eXchange hopes that this initiative contribute in promoting the inter cultures dialogue and creating an inter-regional artist exchange dynamics .


The first edition of PAX will take place in Liverpool, the European Capital of Culture for the year 2008 and the featured art is the Contemporary Arab Art

The Components

- PAX Fair with the participation of galleries from the arab world
- PAX Work: This an artists in residency programme, where local Liverpool artists host selected artists from the arab world during 2 weeks time to work and exhibit together
