Planet Art eXchange | PAX ArtWork | Participation
Who can participate?Participation in PAX Work 2008 is exclusive to artists from Liverpool and Arab artists. The term 'artist' encompasses visual artists. Guest artists will work in an interactive way with their surroundings, and contribute recognisably to the work of the hosting groups. The scheme encourages applications which promote cross-disciplinary interactions by bringing artists into contrasting contexts where their activities are not normally represented. Artists are invited to run workshops, and to offer the local community the opportunity to get closer to the artist and to live the experience of creating visual arts.

How to take part ?- Artists are invited to submit collaborative projects through the website or by sending the attached form (the deadline for projects submission is 20 February. 2008). Although there are no proposal guildelines, we strongly encourage cross-disciplinary art projects that show a high level of collaboration with at least one other artist. The proposal has to include an idea of a workshop, as we would like to open up the creation process to the local community. - Groups of local-guest artists will be formed and the working spaces allocated - Guest artists will be invited to exhibit pieces of their works prior to the beginning of the programme - During the programme, the art creation process should involve the local community - At the end of the programme, the artworks that are created by the groups of artists during it will be exhibited in the participating venues
Please note ! - The payment of the exhibition costs will be deduced from the sales price of the artworks created during the programme. - The arrangement of guest artists accommodation depends on the response of Liverpool-based artists to our call for participation, and therefore we can not guarantee that all guests will be hosted through PAX Work. Nevertheless, alternative arrangements can be made for guest artists if their request is made early enough.
